7 Rules For Modern Topiary

I wrote a manifesto on Modern Topiary, to remind myself of the ideas I am thinking through when composing a new shape. Last week Annie Guilfoyle and Noel Kingsbury of Garden Masterclass were interviewed by ‘A Way To Garden’ in the USA… And as they chatted they referenced some of my topiary work – and how clipped shrubs and hedges mean you can have a looser, naturalistic planting without it looking scruffy or uncared for.
