The natural kapok pillow is made of an organic cotton outer quilted with organic cotton filled with natural kapok. Kapok is also known as ‘plant-down’ due to its silky, fly-away quality. This is our softest pillow and the closest in feel to feathers/downs. Pure luxury!  Kapok is a hollow fibre with a great warmth retention capacity. It is also naturally disliked by dust mites.

Kapok contains naturally occurring bitter-compounds in its fibres. These make this material unattractive to dust mites and other creepy crawlies.  Kapok fibres are naturally coated with a type of wax which means that no moisture is retained or absorbed and therefore helps your duvet to stay dry.  Kapok grows wild in tropical forests without the need for any pesticides. Kapok trees are vital for the local economies which is why they are not felled and hence help with preserving tropical forests.

The case can be unzipped in order to adjust height of the filling.

Standard UK size: 50 x 75cm (20”x30”) .

The cover can be machine washed at 40 degrees C. As kapok is a plant fibre the filling does not need to be removed before washing it. However, please make sure the filling is thoroughly dried after washing.

Filling weight approximately 700g.
